Sara Merico was born in Milan in 1982, graduated in business&economics she starts her career in finance working between Milan and London. In 2010 she decides to change lifestyle and starts to handcrafts jewelry for friends.
She starts working from home, almost for fun, following the same path taken by many other top-notch artisanal companies that today represent the best of “made in Italy” products worldwide.
Always passionate about fashion, given the positive feedback, she decides to turn her hobby into a job by becoming an entrepreneur: creating and driving a new company in an industry where personal creative talent is a critical success factor.
In 2011 Dollhouse Bijoux (DHB) was born, the company achieves sourranding success from the beginning. Journalists, tv and bloggers soon show their interest for both the creations and the story of the young designer.
The name of the brand Dollhouse Bijoux (DHB) is the brainchild of Sara (the founder) who wants to communicate femininity and lightheartedness, the designer says: "I like to think that my customers love to attend my shop to take a break from the hectic pace of everyday life, a pink corner, a fairy tale in which dive for several minutes, browse through the sparkling creations and choose the most suitable for their style, because every woman is unique as the jewelry she’s wearing.”
The jewelry pieces from which emerges a creative figure surprising for freshness and originality, are almost all handmade by the designer. Among the materials used for the creations stand synthetic stones, semi-precious stones, Swarovski, lace, fabric, lucite and faux pearls from various parts of the world.
Armed with sharped fashion sensibility each season the designer explores new materials and techniques constantly looking for new inspirations to offer its customers current and original collections. Dollhouse Bijoux today is a brand known not only in Italy but also in European and extra-European markets, where the company’s style, quality and service have already gained the loyalty of many customers.
